Speed is een spetterende, ‘funky’ compositie voor jeugdorkesten waarbij snelheid en spanning de kernwoorden zijn. In het eerste deel bestaat het thema uit een educatief gesyncopeerd ritme. Het tweede deel wordt rustig opgezet waarbij het thema van het derde deel alvast wordt geïntroduceerd. Dit gaat vervolgens over in een flitsend derde deel welke zonder onderbreking doorraast naar een spectaculair slot!
