Description

Manfred Scheider was inspired to "City Impression" by the hustle and bustle of a modern metropolis. Through his music, he expresses the atmosphere of a pulsating metropolis, the different moods in different parts of the city, and the ever perceptible joy of life.

The work offers many musical possibilities for concert bands: The tutti sound of the symphonic wind orchestra, lyrical passages, demanding solos and fast, often abrupt transitions into a completely new musical world and new styles.

Above all, the work demands balanced, multi-faceted music-making. Only on this basis the musical variety and beauty of sound of the "City Impression" is revealed.
