J-C 78.2, J-C 70
It seems that various works in which Sammartini uses a violin soloist were composed after 1760, especially in the first half of the decade, until 1765/66: three Concerti for violin in E-flat major (J-C 73.1), in A major (J-C 77.2) and in B-flat major (J-C 78), two symphonic works, a Sinfonia concertata in B-flat major (J-C 78.2) and a Concerto in D major (J-C 70), both for violin, as well as two Concerti a più strumenti, one for four violins in A major (J-C 76) and one for violin and two oboes in E-flat major (J-C 73.2); in addition, there is a Sinfonia in D major (J-C 21) with a slow movement for solo violin.
The Concertos J-C 73.1 and J-C 77.2 were dated by Sammartini November 1762 and November 1764. Three works, the Symphony J-C 21 and the Concertos J-C 78 and J-C 70, were published in London in 1766.
