Antonín Josef Rejcha (1770-1836), ein herausragender tschechischer Komponist und Musiktheoretiker, lebte in der Emigration, hauptsächlich in Paris, wo er vor allem als hervorragender Musikpädagoge wirkte. Als Komponist war er ungewöhnlich produktiv, seine Kompositionen sind zum größten Teil im Stil der Wiener Klassik geschrieben, im formalen Aufbau und der klanglich farbigen Instrumentierung offenbaren sich jedoch persönliche Züge, die erst in der Musik der Romantik zur Geltung kamen. Die Ausgabe beinhaltet die Stimmen zu folgenden Quartetten: op. 98 Nr. 1 g-moll, op 98 Nr. 2 C-Dur, op. 98 Nr. 3 G-Dur. Der Titel ist Bestandteil der Edition Musica Antiqua Bohemica.
