Erling Kjøk (1913-1999) was a Norwegian fiddler and a strong representative of the folk music from Nord-Gudbrandsdal.
This arrangement was a commission from The Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces for the Norwegian Military Tatoo. It ispartially inspired by a recording by the folk music group Kvarts.
