Piano Jubilees is a sequence of six piano pieces, the first of which was commissioned by the Royal Festival Hall London and was a birthday present for Pierre Boulez in 2000. The pieces offer a great variety of compositional solutions. Due to the clear structure of each work, there is a slight similarity with Debussy's or Chopin's etudes. The first piece is the busiest one, the others are gradually purified so that pure harmony emerges at the end.
