- 1. Undine (texte Otto Baisch (1840-1892) (4'30)
- 2. Ondine (texte: onomatopées) (4')
The undines, whose name derives from the Latin word unda [wave], are water nymphs in Germanic or Alsatian mythology. This work for women choir (Soprani 1 & 2, Alti 1 & 2), flute and harp has two distinct movements:
Undine [Mermaid] on a german text by poet Otto Baisch (1840-1892) and Ondine only on onomatopoeia “nou”).
The very lyrical flute part requests an instrument in G and in C, the harp plays an essential role within the deep and dreamy dramaturgy of this work.
