A Heavy Metal Suite for Cello solo
Cello Un’plugged
A Heavy Metal Suite for cello solo, free after Mussorgsky's piano cycle “Pictures at an Exhibition”. The composer is inspired by five movements (plus the recurring Promenade). The movements are Promenade (Overture), Tuileries (Games), Bydlo (The Old Cart), The Hut on Hen’s Legs (The Witch), and The Great Gate of Kiev (The Great Gate). The result is a mixture of classical and heavy metal elements. The series “CELLO UN’PLUGGED” presents modern compositions and arrangements of classical works for cello or for E-cello, sometimes “unplugged,” occasionally “plugged.” A sample of “The Witch” you could find on YouTube.
