Amen

"Amen" is a solemn work by Pavel Stanék.

The devout, moving main theme is introduced by the solo baritone (alternatively bassoon or tenor saxophone). Oboe, flute and alto saxophone and trumpets bring the tender second theme to life.The piece now becomes more and more sublime and increases from phrase to phrase, up to the solemn final chord, after which not only the musicians, but also the listeners must first take a deep breath.

Not only because of the title is this piece suitable for a quiet, atmospheric concert conclusion. The careful orchestration creates a very balanced and full sound.
