With this 'Air', the third part of his cantata about People going to church on Whitsuntide, the Dutch composer Pieter Goemans (Istambul, 1925) proves his talents as a composer go far beyond songs for the Eurovision Song Contest or big national successes such as 'Aan de Amsterdamse Grachten' (Alongside the Amsterdam Canals). This meditation in which the trumpet has an important part, has been very skillfully arranged for wind band by the by the eminent Belgian arranger Marcel Peeters.
