Listening to the wind howling one wintry night gave me the inspiration for this song. I was trying to make a Christmas card with a suitable song on the front, and the sound of the wind made me wonder about the journey it had made, from the Arctic to my cottage in North Devon. Whilst compiling “Nowell! Nowell!”, I realised it would work well as an a cappella arrangement, and as a fun addition to a Christmas concert.
