Within much of her work, Judith Weir has tried to portray the sky, stars and planets in her music and the Moon and Star follows the same path. This work based on poetry by Emily Dickinson uses the text to act as a philisophical motto to the music itself, choral voices are used a source of textual richness and produce wide, harmonic paragraphs.
