Timothy Dudley-Smith's text is a wonderful retelling of the Christmas story through the wise men, the shepherds, the song of Mary, and the angels. The beautiful original music and poetic lines build to the angel's "Gloria" and the closing refrain of adoration, "O come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord!
