Johann Gottfried Walther worked in Weimar as an organist alongside J. S. Bach, and left an impressive compositional and theoretical oeuvre. Klaus Beckmann presents a new edition of Walthers organ works in four volumes. Its underlying concept and arrangement of the various volumes are not the only aspects distinguishing it from the previous edition, which was still based on Max Seifferts research.
