Author of around 30 operettas, Franz von Suppé has gone down in history above all with two very famous titles: “Poet and Peasant” and “Light Cavalry” (ed. Eufonia 06496B).

This Overture to “Poet and Peasant” (Dichter und Bauer), much performed in the band version, is presented in a new instrumentation for symphonic band, thus enriching the Italian tradition of band music with another great masterpiece known and appreciated by all.
