Description
The melody and text "'Tis the Last Rose of Summer" in the version by Thomas Moore first appeared in 1813 in a "Selection of Irish Melodies".
However, the song was widely used in Friedrich von Flotow's opera "Martha". Conny Rall's new version for wind orchestra does full justice to the folksong model.
