Jan Van der Roost wrote this play in memory of a girl who had died very young. Contrary to the sad occasion, "Dances of Innocence" is a cheerful work that begins seriously but soon develops into lively, energetic dance music. "Dances of Innocence" is an ode to all the innocence, happiness, sincerity and joie de vivre that a child can radiate.
