I had the pleasure of meeting Roger Bobo a few years after he retired from his career as an instrumentalist to dedicate himself completely to conducting and teaching. I treasured his teachings and advice on writing for brass instruments.

Bo-Bo is a playful study for Tuba in which I wanted to capture his deadpan humor.
