This is a collection of Sir Michael Tippett's essays and articles drawn from his two previously published collections (Moving into Aquarius and Music of the Angels, both long out of print), plus a selection of new material, chiefly on Tippett's more recent works.

The essays, many revised and all now made available in a single edition, will be published to mark Sir Michael's 90th year, during which many celebrations and performances are planned worldwide.
