anuki is the ancient name of the Kagawa Prefecture where the composer was born. This work was originally written for symphony orchestra (also published by Editions Robert Martin). It is based on ancient melodies from this region. It consists of three unbroken movements: "Sanuki Plain", "Prayer" and "Festival".
