This arrangement of the quick polka "Ohne Sorgen" op. 271 (1869) was commissioned by the Liezen town band (Kpm. David Luidold, Obm. Michael Fröhlich). The aim was to briefly put the woodwind and brass instruments, but also the percussionists, in the spotlight during the course of the piece, and to deliberately contrast their characters.
