The Spirit of Adventure is a brilliant band work by Jeff Smallman. It is set in the style of the old Westerns with several typical themes. A very animated and colourful work at the medium level, this piece works perfectly on any program and is sure to get the audience involved. Melody flows throughout the ensemble and all parts are interesting with fun solo or soli sections for most instruments. Close your eyes and imagine your favourite Western... this music would fit!
