I Radiate is written for and dedicated to marimba virtuosa Ria Ideta. The piece was inspired and structured both by her artistry, and her background. In fact, the title of the composition itself is an exact anagram of her name. Ria is originally from Japan, the land of the rising sun (Nippon / Nihon), therefore my discovery of this anagram seemed very fitting in this sense as well to describe the entire piece.
