Together with his cousin, viola player Bernhard Romberg, Andreas Romberg (1767–1821) made concert tours through Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and France; in between he played the viola in the Concerts spirituels in Paris and became a member of the Bonn court orchestra as a violin player between 1790-93.
