The Miracle Masque is a morality play with music, set in mediaeval Italy, and follows in the tradition of Morality plays stretching back to the Middle Ages when they were a much need mixture of satire, drama, comedy andtragedy. In both the words and music the aim has been to balance with robust humour, the more serious questions which trouble mankind.
