Of the nearly 200 flute sonatas composed by Johann Joachim Quantz (1697-1773) this volume contains five, edited by the outstanding Baroque flautist Benedek Csalog, who had already recorded them based on the extant manuscripts. Composed in an Italianate style, these inventive pieces appear here in print for the first time.
