Eduard Pütz is concerned with crossing the boundaries between so-called 'serious' and light music. His 'Blues Fantasy for 6 cellos' is eminently suitable for this purpose, being expressive as well as passionate and virtuosic. It is a genuine synthesis of Jazz and contemporary styles not shallow wannabe-trendy - rather 'made-to-measure' for cello ensemble.
