Piano Safari Composition Book 1 is appropriate for students who already enjoy composing and also for those who are new to the skill. Designed for students at the early intermediate level and above,   the book contains seven model pieces composed by Julie Knerr Hague. Students learn the model piece, study the defining elements of the genre, and compose a piece using the steps provided. This process provides a framework for students to express their own musical ideas. The final pages of this book are perforated so students can compose and detach.
