Sergei Prokofiev's Piano Sonata No.4 in C minor Op.29 was completed in 1917 and was one of the last compositions he made before leaving the Soviet Union for nearly two decades. It is a fabulous and formidible sonata forPiano solo, with intense and tanquil sections.
