We Know How the Story Ends

Mary Kay Beall, describing her poignant Lenten piece, observed, "the title, 'We Know How the Story Ends,' has a double meaning. As we progress through the anthem, we realize that each day, each step, each nail, each breath brings Jesus closer to his inevitable destiny...and we grieve in the retelling, but in our hearts we rejoice in the ending that lies beyond this one.
