Quartet, K. 458 The Hunt

for Wind Quintet. One of the six "Haydn" quartets, subtitled "The Hunt" as suggested by its jolly, bouncing 6/8 rhythm of the opening subject. This happy mood is sustained through most of the work with the exception of the intensely dramatic slow movement.
