In 2018, the Military Bands in Norway celebrates their 200 year Anniversary. In this regard, the great composer Oscar Borg deserves an extra attention. The Norwegian "March King" Oscar Borg was chief conductor at the 1st Brigade Military Band in Halden from 1881 to 1918. He composed more than 70 marches and other compositions for for this band.
