Description
In 2013, Fabian Müller was commissioned to compose a piece for the 20th anniversary of the chamber orchestra "La Folia." The request was for a work that referenced the famous theme La Folia from the 16th century, which had given the orchestra its name. Through various requests, the piece, which Müller also called Metamorphoses of an Ancient Dance, underwent several transformations itself.
