Description
The Fantasia folcloristica was commissioned by Maurice Steger and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra. In this one-movement work, four Swiss folk dance melodies from Ticino and the Engadine can be heard. These have been interwoven with original music by Fabian Müller into a lively divertimento for soprano recorder (or flute) and string quintet or string orchestra.
