Description
The ‘Requiem’, KV. 626, is a requiem mass by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791). Mozart composed part of this requiem in Vienna in late 1791. In many places, Mozart's 'Requiem' was still unfinished, and only sketches existed. At the request of Mozart's wife Constanze, a former student, friend and colleague, Franz Süszmayer, completed the requiem.
