Georg Friedrich Fuchs studied composition with Joseph Haydn annd Chrisitan Cannabich. A list of publishing houses from whom he worked is impressive and includess André, Decombe, Gaveaux, Hentz, Imbault, Janet, Jouve, Leduc, Lemoine, Naderman, Ozi, Schlesinger and Sieber. It was about 1789 that Sieber published Fuchs' arrangement for two clarinets 'Airs et Walzes de la Flute Enchantée'.
