Thomas Morley (1557/58-1602) was a contemporary of Shakespeare's, a great master of the English Renaissance, and the first significant English composer of madrigals. One favourite work by him in the choral repertoire is the short four-part madrigal Now is the Gentle Season, which we publish here in a Hungarian translation by László Lukin.
