Description

The suite, which lasts just under 10 minutes, consists of eight miniatures that represent recurring natural phenomena such as “full moon,” “winter solstice,” and “solar eclipse” in sound.

This form is deliberately kept in the spirit of a late Romantic tone poem. Stylistically, the suite can be described as modernist and minimalist.

Stephan Mensger's compositional debut dates from 2020 and has now been revised and expanded to include an additional miniature.
