Otmar Mácha has written several symphonic works, stage plays (ballets and operas), and vocal pieces. He also dedicated his musical work to popular music, compositions for radio and television as well as special music for children. In 1976 he completed the music to a libretto based on motifs of Alois Jirásek's play "The Cradle".
