Description
The present Sonata for Piano and Cello was published in 1873 and is one of the three sonatas for this ensemble that were published during Mayer‘s lifetime. The sonata is dedicated to Helfride Plüddemann from Colberg, a woman who was a pianist herself and known for hosting musical evenings.
