The Besana International Band Festival is a festival place every two years in Besana in Brianza, in Italy. Organized by the local band with the aim of bringing together musical groups united by the spirit of friendship and brotherhood through their passion for music, it’s common, during the festival, to see the flags from all the countries participating in the festival floating in the streets of the small town. The piece was commissioned for the 2019 edition and premiered in the opening concert
