This volume contains free arrangements written by Franz Liszt in 1850-54. In addition to the nine pieces under the title Soirées de Vienne (Schubert) and five arrangements made from Wagner's operas Tannhäuser and Lohengrin, the volume contains two movements each from Berlioz and Raff, and arrangements of French and Hungarian national themes (La cloche sonne, Ungarischer Romanzero).
