Leshnoff has worked closely with violinist Charles Wetherbee (1st violinist with the Carpe Diem String Quartet) on several projects. Wetherbee was soloist for the premiere of Leshnoff's Violin Concerto No. 1 and the Double Concerto for Violin and Viola, as well as in Distant Reflections.
