Jiří Laburda, born in Soběslav in 1931, is a Czech composer whose style is close to neo-classicism but who also uses aleatorism and dodecaphony in his extensive oeuvre. For many years he has devoted himself to the accordion, broadened the repertoire for this instrument and composed works for accordion solo or with accompaniment.
