The Pater Noster, the Lord's Prayer, is the most famous Christian prayer and has been set to music by countless composers. Zdeněk Král also took on this infamous sacred text. The piece begins with the tenors, evoking the beginning of the sermon, then the choir joins, as in the liturgy of the faithful. This work is in the core repertoire of many Czech choirs and is popular with audiences and listeners alike.
