Description
The texts of the Three Love Songs are based on three waka poems by Izumi Shikibu, a poet at the imperial court in the the Heian period. The alto saxophone, sometimes used in a rustic manner, engages in a delicate duet with the singer. The text can be interpreted in a multifaceted way.
