The early work ‘Aiolos’ by composer Moritz Hoffmeyer is composed for solo violin and orchestra (fl, ob, cl, fg, hn, 4 pk, hrp, 8/6/4/6/2). The premiere took place on 26 November 2023 in the Great Hall of the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg. The piece is named after the divine guardian of the winds, which can certainly be heard in the fast and furious passages of this dynamic work.
