This volume contains all letters that Fanny Hensel, sister of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, sent back to her family in Berlin while she was staying in Paris with her husband and son. The letters show vividly how the family life was organised during the trip, which monuments, museums and concerts the Hensels visited but also what happened in Berlin in the meantime.
