Description
In the 18th century, Coburger March was composed by Michael Haydn, the brother of famous Austrian composer Joseph Haydn, with the first title "National March". The piece was created as festive music and wasn't actually suitable as military march because of the slow tempo. Still it was chosen as slow march I, 27 in the Prussion Collection of Army Marches in 1817. It still is in that collection of inspection marches, although it actually is a cavalry march.
