Handel wrote three suites collectively known as Water Music, which were first performed for King George I of England and his guests as they floated down the Thames River on the royal barge. The Air is one of the best-known melodies from the suite and makes a fantastic work for recorder trio (SAT). Each set includes a score and three of each part.
